In our fast paced culture, enlightenment can seem at best a pipe dream and at worst yet one more commodified task to add to our ever growing list of achievements to one day get around to and feel jealous about on Facebook. Yet,the Buddha teaches us that enlightenment is completely natural and universally available to all sentient beings. If it is indeed completely natural- why does it feel so hard? Maybe it is because we are ill equipped to deal with positive stress in our lives.
