Speaker: Bee Bloeser. Bee is the author of the memoir, VACCINES & BAYONETS: Fighting Smallpox in Africa Amid Tribalism, Terror and the Cold War. Bee’s talk will focus on the science of eradicating a disease and on the ethics of forced vaccinations, Bee’s personal lived experience in Africa, and how she approached the issues associated with mass vaccinations among the inhabitants of target populations, etc.

Our Live Oak Ministry Fair is an autumn tradition that allows congregants to explore how things get done here. The Fall Ministry Fair also offers ways for congregants to contribute their talents to and serve the life of our congregation. The fair begins immediately after the conclusion of Sunday Service, and it usually coincides with the Kids’ Religious Exploration Carnival. Come enjoy this festive, fun way to know more about our faith community.
